Be sure to include certain important information on your baby shower invitations no matter what form they take. You should be sure to include the names of the expectant mother and host or hosts, along with location, date and time, directions to the shower location, contact phone number for responses and questions, where the expectant couple has registered for baby gifts, the party theme and suggested type of dress. Make sure you also plan for enough time to either order or prepare your baby shower invitations and mail them out well in advance of the shower date. You should send them out around two months in advance of the shower and allow guests two weeks to respond. This gives you enough time to invite others who may be on a back up guest list and provide the caterer with a head count or yourself with enough lead time to purchase and prepare an adequate amount of food and party favors.
